Storm updates & FAQ’s

We have phone and power in our Pembroke and Plymouth offices. Osterville has no phone or Internet so all calls are being forwarded to our Plymouth office until we are back up and running.

We are fully operational and prepared to help our clients deal with any claims. I thought I would post a couple of quick FAQ’s we get in this type of storm.

Q. If I lose power and need to get a hotel room will my insurance will cover me?
A. You need to have a covered loss such as tree damage or a fire in order for your insurance policy to cover expenses related to you having to stay elsewhere.

Q. A tree fell in my yard, but did not damage anything. Will my insurance pay to remove the tree?
A. The unendorsed home insurance policy will not cover this type of loss. Insurance companies offer an endorsement to cover this that usually includes other coverage upgrades as well.

Q. My furnace died will my insurance pay to replace it.
A. Unless you had a power surge (even this situation can be tricky to cover sometimes) that caused your furnace to stop working your insurance policy would not cover this.

We are here for you so please feel free to stop in, call us or send an email if you have any questions or need assistance.

The above is meant as general information and as general policy descriptions to help you understand the different types of coverages available to you. Always consult your policy for actual coverages and exclusions.

Stay warm and be safe.

If you happen to have any damage due to the storm please do your best to secure your home or property from further damage. You can call your insurance company direct with the link below. Be safe and remember to reach out to any elderly neighors or relatives.

Merry Christmas!

Our offices will be closing today, December 24th at noontime and reopening on Wednesday morning.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas filled sparkle with moments of love, laughter & goodwill. And may the year ahead be full of contentment & joy.

Have a Merry Christmas.

Mobile Website!

Mobile WebsiteToday all smart phones and tablets allow you to view websites in a browser. How they look and function on your phone though can vary greatly depending upon if the website can recognize if you are using a computer or a handheld device. Our website, www.hannon-ryan.com, recently underwent some behind the scenes retooling and now it has a nice clean, easy to use interface when accessed from a handheld device.

I would always love any feedback about what you like or don’t like about our website. After all I have three daughters, I can take it!

Enjoy this beautiful fall Monday morning!

Thanks,
Steve

Osterville office has no power

As of right now our Goodspeed office in Osterville has no power. Our staff is still there to assist you if you have a claim. Pembroke and Plymouth offices are open and have power.

I hope everyone of you, your family and friends are safe. If you did suffer a loss due to Hurricane Sandy we are here to help you.

Thanks,
Steve

We have a Winner!

Laurie C. of Pembroke won the Ipad 2 Sweepstakes! Thank you to everyone who participated, especially our customers for the flattering recommendations. They are very much appreciated.

This was fun. We’ll have to come up with something else in the near future.

Have a great weekend and Go Pats!!!

Happy MLK Jr. Day!

Just a quick reminder to let you know all of our offices are open today, January 16th 2012. Ever wonder how we come up with our holiday schedule (I’m sure it’s kept you up at night)? We use the same holiday schedule as our largest insurance company, Commerce Insurance. So feel free to stop on by.

Have a great week!

Irene Storm Updates

Irene has left quite an impression on all of us. Many without power, some with trees on house and cars (in my case through my fence), and still others with flooded basements. Here is a current status of our locations:

PLYMOUTH
Open and ready to start handling your insurance claims. You can call our office at 508-746-0030 or fax 747-3036. We were fortunate not to lose any power.

PEMBROKE
We did lose power yesterday, but are back up and running now. You can call our office at 781-293-5500 or fax us at 781-293-7943.

OSTERVILLE
We currently do not have phone lines or power. Your best opportunity to get your claim moving along would be to call your insurance company directly. You can also call our Plymouth office for assistance. Please try to have your policy number handy to expedite your claim.  There will be staff at our Osterville branch to assist you if you would prefer to come in to our office. We can always phone in your claim with our cell phones.
